Both parties signed a collaboration agreement with the University of the Algarve
The University of Málaga (UMA), Málaga TechPark and the University of Algarve (UALG) have signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of the ‘Malgarve Innovation Network’.
This agreement, formalized on November 2 at the Gambelas campus of the UALG, will promote joint activities between the three institutions, mainly related to research, development, innovation, dissemination and cooperation in Art and Culture and Training.
In this regard, the objective of ‘Malgarve Innovation Network’ is to promote cooperation between UMA, UALG and Málaga Tech Park, through the design and implementation of innovative strategies, programs and projects.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the rector of the UMA, José Ángel Narváez; the rector of the University of the Algarve, Paulo Águas; the deputy director of Technology Transfer and International Relations of the Technology Park of Andalusia, Sonia Palomo; the vice-rector of Transfer, Innovation and Digital University of the UALG, João Rodrigues; the vice-rector of Business, Territory and Digital Transformation of the UMA, Javier López, and the head of the Entrepreneurship Division and Knowledge Transfer of the UALG, Hugo Barros.
The event coincided with the first event of the Network, the ‘Malgarve Innovation Forum’, which was also attended by three researchers from the University of Málaga: Javier Pérez Frías, José Antonio Fernández Correa and Mª Inmaculada García Fernández, who met with several researchers from the UALG and had the opportunity to visit the Clinical Simulation Center.
