Málaga TechPark, ONCE Foundation and Inserta close a Full Stack Developer course for people with disabilities

Leading companies of the Andalusia Technology Park collaborate in this labor inclusion initiative.

ONCE Foundation, Inserta Empleo and Málaga TechPark have closed today a Java Full Stack developer course within the second phase of the pilot plan they are developing to promote the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in the field of new technologies. The participants who have passed the course will carry out three months of non-working practices in the companies of the park. The closing ceremony, which took place in the new space The Green Lemon, was attended by all the students of the course and a group of companies of the Technology Park.

This course, which was attended by 15 people with disabilities, lasted 725 teaching hours divided into the following modules: development methodologies; basic Java; databases: SQL; Java EE and its frameworks; Frontend and Resting.

This initiative is part of a training itinerary of programming in different technologies, framed in the program ‘For Digital Talent’ of ONCE Foundation, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund, and supported by major companies installed in Malaga TechPark. under the agreement that ONCE Foundation has signed with the park.

Also, all the participating companies have given masterclasses on their development projects, the agile methodology they use or their professional development proposals.

In the training, which has been free for participants, they have also had a scholarship to attend the training as a transport aid of 10 euros per day of attendance, as well as other special aid in case of having dependent children, or travel from another province to attend the training.

For Digital Talent’ is a pioneering training program in Spain launched by ONCE Foundation that aims to respond to a real demand for professionals in digital skills, while improving the skills and employability of people with disabilities. In addition, this is the first collaboration that ONCE Foundation and Inserta Empleo establish with a technology park.

With a strong practical objective oriented to the subsequent labor inclusion of students, the training contents are closely linked to the real demand of the park and have been defined by a technical committee formed by ONCE Foundation, Inserta Empleo and companies of the park as CGI, Ingenia, Minsait (by Indra), Opplus, Avanade, Enreach, The Workshop, Viewnext.

In short, this initiative confirms the commitment of Málaga TechPark and the companies located in the park to a model of digital transformation compatible with sustainable and inclusive criteria.

The activity of Inserta Empleo is part of the operational programs of Social Inclusion and Social Economy (Poises) and Youth Employment (POEJ), which is being developed with the co-financing of the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative, to increase the training and employment of people with disabilities.
