  • The meeting, held at Málaga TechPark, has had as objective finding synergies so that the new training options are adapted to the reality of current professional demands

Fifty people from 30 companies have given shape to the new master’s degrees of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Informática of the Universidad de Málaga, ETSI Informática, at a meeting held in Málaga TechPark. This is the design of two new official master’s degrees in Computer Science that the UMA wants to launch and for which it has worked with companies from the park, organizations and institutions in the search of synergies so that these new training options are adapted to the reality of current professional demands.

In this way, the outlines of the new master’s degree in Cybersecurity and the master’s degree in Computer Engineering, which will have honourable mentions in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering and in Continuum Computing (Cloud-IoT) have been presented. The companies present at the meeting have been able to provide their perspective on the suitability of the profile and the fit with the talent requirements they currently have.

During the conference, which was held in The Green Lemon space, several possibilities for collaboration between companies with both master’s degrees were also identified, which must now be submitted to the Accreditation Agency for approval for implementation in the 25/26 academic year. In order to reinforce this collaboration, the master’s degree in Cybersecurity will be proposed with a dual mention. This will facilitate the relationship between the students of this master’s degree and the companies in the sector and it will integrate the companies in the training process.

This meeting takes place within the framework of the collaboration that Málaga TechPark and the ETSI Informática have maintained for several years, within which training programmes are designed, job offers from companies in the park are disseminated among students and recent graduates of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and professional meetings are held with students.

In this way, the park facilitates the attraction of talent for the companies located in it and the students of the Escuela introduce in their training a first-hand knowledge of the professional sector, through direct contact with the companies.

Companies that participated in the meeting were: Accenture, Ayesa, Grupo Babel, Capgemini, GOOGLE, Sogeti, Airzone, Dekra, EY, Hispasec, Idneo Technologies, Mercedes-Benz, Minsait, INDRA Sistemas, NTT DATA, OCA Global, Telefónica Tech, Oracle, Colegio Profesional de Ingeniería en Informática de Andalucía, Tupl, S2Grupo, Centro de Ciberseguridad de Andalucía, Policía Nacional, Quantexa, Avanade and FMIT Consulting.
