The Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE), along with several of its member parks and representatives from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, participated in the 11th edition of Startup Olé Salamanca from October 8 to 10, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and technological entrepreneurship as drivers of regional development
The event was held at the Palacio de Congresos of Salamanca and brought together entrepreneurs, startups, investors, corporations, and public administrations in an environment designed to promote networking and facilitate business and investment opportunities.
APTE participated in this edition of Startup Olé alongside several of its members: Alicante Science Park, Vigo Technology Park, Avilés Science and Technology Park, UC3M Science Park – Leganés Technology Park, Extremadura Science and Technology Park, and around 20 startups from 8 science and technology parks. Many of these startups are participants in the APTENISA startup ideation and acceleration programme, an initiative promoted by APTE with the support of ENISA S.A.

AI HEALTH SOLUTIONS (PHYSIA), KAI CLOTHES 22 S.L., PARKIDUO, and Tu Trámite Fácil (University Miguel Hernández Science Park of Elche), Silvers_Xp (La Salle Technova Barcelona), BORG.AI y Atajo (Málaga TechPark), Beeconnected and Bioadiverse (Cartuja Science and Technology Park), Drive2Park and Secur0 (Madrid Science Park), Solar Earth, Calpech (winner at Startup Olé Miami), and FINDIT (winner at Startup Olé Marbella), Hydros Power, and WEIF AGROTECNIA SL (WEITEC) (Alicante Science Park), AHYRES and UNUWARE (UC3M Science Park – Leganés Technology Park), and Alsis IoT Industrial (University of Valladolid Science Park).
The startups not only had their own stand but also had the opportunity to present a pitch to the participants of Startup Olé, which featured a strong representation from the investment community.
Additionally, APTE held a roundtable discussion with some of its member parks, moderated by Apte´s Managing Director, Soledad Díaz . In this panel, Ana Isabel Cadrecha (Avilés Science and Technology Park), Rosa Eguizábal (Vigo Technology Park), and Emma Crespo (UC3M Science Park – Leganés Technology Park) discussed how entrepreneurship can drive the economic and social development of regions, highlighting the initiatives and programs each park is implementing to foster talent and attract new technology companies.
A second round table was organized by DISRUPTIVE, the Spanish Technology Platform for Disruptive Technologies, which is funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities through the State Agency for Research. It was moderated by APTE’s projects and networks coordinator, Elena García. The panel featured Sergio Díez (CEO of Moven) and José Camacho (Director of HPC & Quantum Iberia at EVIDEN). During the discussion, they addressed advancements in artificial intelligence, big data, and other disruptive technologies, as well as how these tools are transforming the competitiveness of Spanish companies in the global market.
