BIC Euronova Silicon Valley
  • In addition to participating in the training and mentoring program at BIC Euronova in Málaga, the entrepreneurs will have the chance to undergo a 5-week training program in Silicon Valley at Draper University (a prize valued at $12,000)

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) in Málaga, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), launches the CIBEREMPRENDE program to boost business projects by offering training and mentoring in entrepreneurship and cybersecurity. This initiative aims to foster the creation of new businesses while reinforcing digital security within the Spanish market and society.

This initiative is launched after the success of the CYBERSECURITY VENTURES Acceleration Program, also carried out by BIC Euronova in collaboration with INCIBE, which concluded successfully at the end of 2024. The top 3 startups shared a €5,000 prize in that edition, and a new one is planned after the summer of 2025.

The 5-week CIBEREMPRENDE program includes two weekly morning sessions (4.5 hours each). In addition, participating businesses will receive individual consulting on legal, management/tax advisory, labor, and accounting matters. Participants will also receive mentoring from an expert advisor. A key highlight is the opportunity to compete for a 5-week stay at Draper University in Silicon Valley, a prize valued at $12,000.

All participating projects are linked to cybersecurity, either as their core business (e.g., developing products or services in the cybersecurity field) or as a key element of their business (online sales, etc.), and they need to apply cybersecurity to safe digital environments for their customers.

INCIBE continues to work tirelessly to enhance digital trust in Spain, strengthen cybersecurity and resilience standards, and contribute to the digital market. Its mission is to promote responsible use of cyberspace by encouraging safe practices and raising public awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

As a collaborating entity of the program, BIC Euronova will offer acceleration programs, talks, workshops, events, and incubation services to the participating projects. This initiative will provide participants, whether individuals, entrepreneurs, or businesses, with solid cybersecurity knowledge, essential to operating safely in today’s digital environment. Spain currently ranks third worldwide in cyber threat detections (6% of global cases), following Japan and Poland.
