Kadans Science Partner, a leading investor, developer, and manager of innovation parks in Europe, will complete its first project in Spain in 2025: the NODE I Málaga building, located within  the technological park. This project, which is in an advanced stage of construction, served as the venue for its presentation to representatives from the private sector, academia, public administration, and the management of Málaga TechPark.

NODE I will add to Kadans´ offering at Málaga TechPark, where it already operates a building following its acquisition in December 2023. With these two buildings, NODE I and II, Kadans will have a total leasable area of 15,000 m², dedicated to organizations focused on innovation, featuring laboratories, clean rooms, and office spaces.

With this strategic move, the European company has reached a total investment of €30 million for the Málaga province, combining both NODE I and NODE II.

Accompanying Kadans were prominent figures from the City Council of Málaga, Málaga TechPark, and the University of Málaga. In their speeches during the presentation event, they emphasized the significance of the project, which will bring together various organizations to strengthen innovation in technological fields and the impact this will have on the sector in Andalusia, both as a business and in attracting skilled talent.

Councilor for Innovation of the City of Málaga, Alicia Izquierdo stated: “We continue to work on strengthening innovation in the city of Málaga, and Kadans’ NODE I building, with its capacity for connection and opportunity generation, will be an important enabler in our technological ecosystem.”

NODE I, with 12,000 m² of leasable space, is being constructed with the flexibility to meet the most demanding needs of companies. It is equipped with facilities and structural features designed to accommodate and bring together a significant number of innovative companies and institutions in the fields of microelectronics, cybersecurity, connected vehicles, and cross-cutting technologies. This space will include clean rooms, with categories ranging from ISO-5 to ISO-8, available either privately for companies or on a shared-use basis—facilities currently not available at Málaga TechPark.

Kadans is strongly committed to sustainable renewal. Therefore, the building will adhere to the highest certification standards to achieve a high level of energy efficiency, sustainability, and quality. The entire project will comply with international sustainability standards and will earn the international Breeam Excellent sustainability certification.

Construction is scheduled to be completed and the space is expected to open in October 2025

“The availability of our facilities at Málaga TechPark marks an important milestone in our strategic expansion in Spain and strengthens our commitment to driving innovation and scientific research in the field of microelectronics, in which Málaga is a key player. NODE I is a further step in our commitment to Málaga, where we are also present, developing the NODE II project since March 2023,” comments Miguel Muñoz, Managing Director of Kadans Science Partner Spain.

The partnership between the Dutch Kadans Science Partner and Málaga TechPark goes beyond the shared commitment to attract leading companies to the park. This strategic collaboration leverages Kadans’ strengths in Europe to provide Málaga-based companies with an international network and environment conducive to innovation and technological progress, as well as the ongoing opportunities generated by Málaga TechPark to open new avenues of collaboration with companies from Kadans’ European network.
