- Keysight and the UMA collaborate in the development of standards and advanced training in 6G Technology
Last Friday, 17th Janury, marked a significant milestone in the field of technological research with the official inauguration of the Keysight-UMA Laboratory and the Institute for Software Technologies and Engineering Center (ITIS) at the University of Málaga (UMA). These new facilities are designed to lead cutting-edge research in 6G technology, positioning UMA at the forefront of innovation in next-generation mobile communications.
The inauguration event was led by the rector of UMA, Teodomiro López, who was joined by prominent leaders in the field, including the director of the ITIS UMA Institute, the distinguished professor Pedro Merino Gómez. The event was attended by Vice President of 6G and Next-Generation Technology at Keysight, Giampaolo Tardioli, , and Deputy Director General of Spectrum Planning and Management, Julia Criado.
Strategically located in the Ada Byron building at UMA, these state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology provided by Keysight, a global leader in electronic and communication testing solutions. The Keysight-UMA Laboratory and the ITIS Center will serve as hubs for collaborative research, standards development, and advanced training in 6G technology.
