LiFi Technology takes off and presents the latest developments at Transfiere with Datlight

  • Wireless technology for data transmission and connectivity through light will be present at Transfiere 2023, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, the main R&D&I event in Southern Europe, which will be held on 15, 16 and 17 February at the Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Málaga (FYCMA).

LiFi technology will be present at Foro Transfiere on 15, 16 and 17 February by Datlight, a company based in Málaga TechPark. This technology allows data transmission and connectivity through light, with high performance, high speed and very low latency (response time). In addition to being fast, it is stable, secure and healthy, as it does not use radio frequency. All these characteristics make it particularly suitable in environments where WiFi technology is insufficient or not allowed.

LiFi offers new applications and possibilities where data transmission does not degrade rapidly, or where the safety and/or health of people needs to be paramount, especially in the emergency deployment of civil or military emergency units, or in an operating theatre or ICU due to the elimination of cables and the absence of radio frequency.

The Málaga-based company Datlight is a benchmark in LIFI technology research in the development of solutions in the underwater, military and health and hospital fields, as well as continuing to carry out its R&D&I in the field of connected cars and eMobility.

Datlight is a Deeptech company established in Málaga TechPark that is dedicated to the research, innovation and application of technologies that allow the transmission of data through LIGHT, VLC / LiFi (Visual Light Communications /Light Fidelity) and especially the development of connectivity solutions based on them.

Thus, the company’s basic strategy for its business development is research and the promotion of cooperation with entities and companies, both public and private, with an essentially collaborative work profile with our clients, as well as with entities such as universities, technology centres and driving companies within the technological/economic and market ecosystem.
