Malaga TechPark installs two new charging stations for electric vehicles available free of charge to the park’s employees

  • There are already 6 electric vehicle charging stations available free of charge to the park’s employees.
  • This installation has been made possible thanks to the collaboration between Grupo PREMO and Malaga TechPark, which has ceded the canopies of the car parks next to Premo.
  • The initiative is aimed at the integral and efficient management of 100% renewable energy

Malaga TechPark offers employees of the park two new electric vehicle chargers free of charge and free of charge, in addition to the four existing chargers located at 49 Severo Ochoa Street.

With this new installation, the park extends the number of public chargers to six, while reinforcing the objective of improving the infrastructure linked to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), in this case the preservation of the environment through relevant clean energy consumption, the fight against climate change and the goal of a climate-neutral Europe by 2050. This project fully identifies with SDGs 7, 9, 12 and 13.

The project has counted with the collaboration of PREMO and starts the extension of the renewable energy installation (photovoltaic) from 70kW to 170kW at its headquarters in Malaga TechPark for self-consumption with surplus and direct recharging of electric vehicles through green energy.

This extension project has been made possible thanks to the collaboration in the “Ecosystem” (in Spanish “Ecosistema”) of Malaga TechPark, which has ceded the canopies of the adjacent car parks to PREMO in exchange for providing two 7kW charging stations for electric vehicles to Malaga TechPark.

This initiative is also part of the actions carried out in the park within the eCityMalaga programme, which is currently in the implementation phase of the strategic lines. There are currently 48 member companies, including Grupo Premo.

At the same time, Grupo Premo continues to develop green energy projects (photovoltaic) and energy efficiency of buildings, as well as the use of recycled materials (plastics, copper and ferrite) that will allow PREMO to meet its goal of being climate neutral by 2030 and throughout the value chain by 2050.
