Málaga TechPark is once again part of the APTENISA program

  • APTENISA is the benchmark program launched by APTE and ENISA to promote 100 entrepreneurship projects in technology parks.
  • BIC Euronova, the CADE, Promálaga, the Polo de Contenidos Digitales, DayOne La Caixa and Rayo Verde – Link by UMA are the business incubators for this program’s edition.

The Asociación de Parques Científicos y Tecnológicos de España (APTE – the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain) and the Empresa Nacional de Innovación, SME, SA (ENISA – National Company for Innovation) gave green light to launch the second edition of the APTENISA program for entrepreneurship projects in eight science and technology parks, including Málaga TechPark

Furthermore, Málaga TechPark relies on the business incubators BIC Euronova, the CADE (Andalusian centres for entrepreneurship), Promálaga, the Polo de Contenidos Digitales, DayOne La Caixa and Rayo Verde – Link by UMA. These are key spaces to achieve the goals of APTENISA’s projects.

The goal

The goal of the APTENISA program is to facilitate the creation of technology-based companies and reduce the difficulties they encounter during their business growth, supporting them to achieve a more competitive business size. This goal is in line with the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish Government and with the Law for the Creation and Growth of Companies.

The APTENISA 2023 Edition, as in the first edition, will support the entrepreneurship from its initial idea stage to the acceleration stage, the validation business model and its formation. This will be done using a common methodology based on the Candy Innovation Model and Lean Launch Pad methodologies that will be developed by the eight science and technology parks, which will create synergies between the participants.

In 2022

The first edition successfully concluded with more than 100 entrepreneurship projects and 33 start-ups created, some of them being in an investment process after the program. This edition showed the parks’ great potential in boosting a R&D-based entrepreneurship and/or high-tech sectors.

The APTENISA finalists of Málaga TechPark in 2022 were:

  • My Closet: an outfits phone app.
  • Testea Vida: digital platform to prevent or detect prostate cancer.
  • Roleux: leisure and gamification platform.
  • You Health: Medical records synchronisation system in hospitals.
  • ClicOrder: marketplace for the Horeca channel: B2B sales/purchases management.

Felipe Romera, president of APTE and general manager of Málaga TechPark: “This program is a great support from ENISA to the potentiality that the science and technology parks have in promoting entrepreneurship and supervising the growth of innovative, disruptive and tech-based companies. This potentiality will be strengthened by implementing a common model in all participating parks and by the cooperation between them to promote not only the start-ups development, but also the synergies and collaboration between them. This last aspect is of utmost importance to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of these initiatives.”

The first stage of APTENISA, the APTENISA Start program, opens the registration period until 23 April for entrepreneurial ideas projects, technological business projects in the pre-incubation stage.

In May, Málaga TechPark will be carrying out training and mentoring activities, as well as activities to support identifying synergies with the agents of the park’s business ecosystem.
