STEM, the connected car, AI, social networks and the metaverse are some of the themes of the workshops that will take place in the park.
Mobile Week Málaga 2022, which kicks off its second edition this week, once again has Málaga TechPark as the main venue for the event. On this occasion, up to 12 events will be hosted by the park.
On 1 December, at BIC Euronova in the morning, the activity ‘What is the metaverse? How can this immersive digital reality be an opportunity for your company? will be held by Avanade.
On the other hand, at 10 a.m. the activity ‘The metaverse, what is to come: opportunities for digital entrepreneurship today,’ by La Brújula XR in the DayOne space of La Caixa, is scheduled.
Also on 1 December, at 10 a.m., Dat Light will present the demonstration stand ‘Lifi, the definitive technology for the safety of the connected car,’ in the Málaga Room of the Málaga TechPark headquarters. And, in the Nerja room of the park’s headquarters, ‘Lifi, connects to the internet with the speed of light,’ by the same company.
At 12 p.m. in the Rayo Verde building, the company Goli Neuromarketing will lead the workshop ‘Artificial intelligence applied to tourism.’
From 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Dayone La Caixa centre, the activity ‘How Twitch, Youtube and Tik Tok help companies to position themselves above the competition,’ by WindUp, will take place.
On the 2nd, the day will start at 10 am with the session ‘Using artificial intelligence to facilitate sustainable management of mobile communications networks,’ given by Ericsson.
Half an hour later, in the Nerja room of the park’s headquarters, the demonstration stand ‘Lifi, connect to the internet with the speed of light’ will be presented by Dat Light.
At 10:30 a.m. in The Green Lemon building, the activity ‘Science and technology for women in technology parks,’ organised by Málaga TechPark and the Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) will be held.
Thus, at 11:30 a.m., Dualiza Caixabank and Málaga TechPark will organise the kick off presentation to companies of ‘Reducing the gender gap in STEAM VET in Málaga,’ at Severo Ochoa Street 21.
At 12 p.m., the company Dekra will host the ‘Demo Connected Mobility V2X – 5G’ test bed, in collaboration with Telefónica.
Thus, from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Integrated Training Centre in Frederick Terman Street 3, it will be the turn of the European Project B-SKILLS: How to improve the competences of adults with Blockchain skills.
At 5:30 p.m. the practical STEM workshops ‘A Connected World’ will be held at Málaga TechPark, Calle Severo Ochoa 21.
About Mobile Week Málaga 2022
Under the slogan ‘Where technology and citizenship connect,’ Mobile Week Málaga returns this year to promote the empowerment and digital inclusion of the entire population, regardless of their age, digital skills or previous training. More than 150 free technological activities, more than 80 companies and public and private entities involved in the implementation of activities, 4 main venues – the Tabacalera facilities, Málaga TechPark, the University of Málaga and the Provincial Council -, more than 30 complementary venues and themes such as robotics, video games, metaverse, virtual reality, social networks, artificial intelligence or digital solutions for SMEs, among others, are part of this year’s edition.
In addition, there will be seven activity segments: ‘Dreamers,’ from 0 to 12 years old; ‘Aware,’ from 13 to 18 years old; ‘Prepared,’ from 19 to 30 years old; ‘Technological,’ from 31 to 65 years old; ‘Connected,’ for the over 65s; ‘Professionals,’ aimed at SMEs and the self-employed with the objective of promoting the use of technology in the workplace; and ‘Protected,’ a category that includes families with workshops aimed at bringing technological advances and protecting the digital identity of all its members.
