Awarded by the Official College of Technical Telecommunications Engineers of Andalusia (COITTA) and the Andalusian Association of Graduates and Engineers in Specific Telecommunications Technologies (AAGIT)
The Official Association of Technical Telecommunications Engineers of Andalusia (COITT-A) and the Andalusian Association of Graduates and Engineers in Specific Technologies of the Telecommunications (AAGIT) have held the Telecos Andalusia 2024 Forum at the Gran Hotel Miramar in Malaga.
It is the leading event for the Andalusian technology sector, bringing together more than 200 professionals and representatives from regional and national technology companies and organizations. During the event, Málaga TechPark was recognized, among other entities and individuals, with the 2024 Ingenio Awards.
Specifically, the Board of Directors of COITT-A and AAGIT acknowledge the park for playing a key role in driving Málaga’s economic and technological development and for its extraordinary evolution since its inception, establishing itself as an international benchmark in the field of innovation.
This award recognizes the fundamental contribution of Málaga TechPark in consolidating the city as a global reference in technology and economic development. The park’s General Director, Felipe Romera, was the one to receive the award.
Recognition of Excellence at the 2024 Ingenio Awards
The Telecos Andalucía Forum is a key space for creating synergies, where the role of telecommunications engineers as drivers of digital transformation in Andalusia is promoted, acting as a crucial engine for the region’s socio-economic development.
As part of the forum, the 2024 Ingenio Awards ceremony took place aimed at promoting and highlighting talent and innovation in the Andalusian technology sector. These annual awards recognize professionals, companies, and institutions that significantly contribute to the advancement of telecommunications and the digitalization process in Andalusia.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen professional connections, and reflect on the trends and future of the technology sector. Awards were also given to Axión, the “Hedy Lamarr Chair” at UMA, the social enterprise UNEI, SOHRLIN Andalucía, and engineer Isidoro Berral Montero for their valuable contributions to the fields of engineering and ICT.
The Telecos Andalucía Forum has been supported by the presence of prominent representatives from the Public Administration, Provincial Governments, and City Halls, as well as Andalusian clusters, operators, leading companies, multinational corporations, research centers, and universities.

Among the attendees, the event was graced by mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre; Delegate of the Government of the Regional Government of Andalusia in Málaga, Patricia Navarro; Managing Director of the Agencia Digital de Andalucía, Raúl Jiménez; and Antonia Ledesma Sánchez, Vice President of Citizenship and Territorial Balance of the Diputación de Málaga.
The dean of COITTA, Pedro Córdoba, took the opportunity to review the main achievements and strategic lines of the organization, emphasizing the essential role of the group of technical telecommunication engineers in the technological development of the region.
This event, which each year strengthens Andalusia’s role on the technological map, has reflected the evolution, challenges, and potential of the telecommunications sector, highlighting the importance of collaboration and the support of companies and organizations that make the growth of innovation and digitalization possible for the benefit of society as a whole.
