- The round table has addressed key business strategies applicable to both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
OPPLUS has held the last 2024 edition of Campus Executive. To wrap up the year, the Malaga-based company transformed its traditional conference format into a roundtable discussion, where four speakers shared their insights on the formula for achieving business success.
CEO of OPPLUS, Pablo Benavides alongside General Director of Málaga TechPark, Felipe Romera; Vicepresident of AI Southwark Oracle, Sofia Schneider; and Chief Marketing Officer de Internalia Group, Gema Casquero, shared their insights in the crowded Agora Room, within OPPLUS ‘ training campus.
This is the third Campus Executive edition OPPLUS has organized in order to promote collaboration and networking between the entities in the Malaga business network. The moderator of the round table was Manager of IT Training Projects in Arelance, Elisa Martin. She showcased a more dynamic roundtable format in which guests were able to learn firsthand the experiences and strategies that have allowed the growth and innovation of the enterprises.
Host of the event, Pablo Benavides opened a Q&A round by addressing a question about the success indicators of the Málaga-based BPO company. He emphasized that OPPLUS operates with a clear purpose, to make excellence accessible to everyone, guided by three key pillars: clients, productivity and working environment. “Excellence is not just a utopian concept—though it can feel that way—because as you approach excellence, it shifts, and you must keep striving toward it. Instead, it’s a process of continuous improvement, where you find daily satisfaction in the achievements that bring you closer to this goal,” he explained.
Gema Casquero highlighted the importance of client retention, as well as the key role innovation and communication play in the digital and competitive world we live in. “Providing technological value to support the productive fabric of society by making our clients more competitive,” she stated.
Sofía Schneider emphasized the importance of diversity and employee well-being in determining a company’s success, especially considering the wide variety of people working at Oracle. “In Málaga, we are 550 people from many different countries, so our office feels like a home to us,” she remarked.
Felipe Romera, on behalf of Málaga TechPark, highlighted the impact of the many changes and innovations introduced to the park over its 25 years of history. He emphasized that “people are the most valuable asset of a company.” This sentiment was echoed by all four speakers, who agreed on the importance of the value people bring to businesses and the key strategies for retaining talent.
“More and more qualified jobs are emerging, and we want to provide society with what businesses need”, stated Felipe Romera who emphasized the importance of the park, which represents 23% of the employment in Málaga.
For OPPLUS, its beginnings were a time to attract talent, and the big challenge now is retaining it. “We attract talent because we are a flexible company that meets the needs of our employees and makes decisions with the perspective that the client comes first,” commented Benavides. “The key is to focus on the team, to ensure that your team is committed and feels connected to your company’s purpose,” argued Gema.
After the roundtable discussion and the Q&A session, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a networking session, where they could exchange ideas, establish strategic partnerships, and discover new collaboration opportunities within the business environment.
