- Through this important agreement, the technology company, the Asociación de Parques Cientificos y Tecnologicos de España (APTE) and Malaga TechPark (PTA) will give access to the Oracle for Startups programme to all associated companies in 52 parks
Oracle, the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) and Malaga TechPark (PTA) today launched a partnership to boost innovation within the Spanish business community. Through the Oracle for Startups programme, the nearly 900 startups that are part of both organisations will have free access to Oracle’s cloud technology, as well as other resources such as mentoring, workshops and technical support.
La Asociacion de Parques Cientificos y Tecnologicos de España (APTE) is a non-profit association whose main objective is to collaborate, through the promotion and dissemination of science and technology parks, to the renewal and diversification of productive activity, technological progress and economic development. For its part, Malaga TechPark (PTA), based in the city of Malaga, has become a pole of attraction for innovation and technological development in southern Europe. Both organisations will act as multiplier agents to bring cloud technology to the main start-ups in our country.
According to Felipe Romera, General Manager of Malaga TechPark and President of APTE, “By participating in the Oracle Startup programme, start-ups and entrepreneurs belonging to APTE’s science and technology parks will be able to launch their ideas and projects to the market with integration teams, media and a global portfolio of customers interested in learning about these new projects, while at the same time allowing them to learn about its cloud infrastructure”.
Also, Albert Triola, General Manager of Oracle Spain, says “cloud technology has been key to the survival of our business fabric over the last two years, and is serving as a lever to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of our companies and institutions. This agreement with APTE and PTA will allow us to bring this technology to companies that are pure innovation, our startups, with the aim of helping them to scale their businesses to the next level”.
The Oracle for Startups programme
In recent years, the phenomenon of entrepreneurship has experienced a spectacular boom, creating an ecosystem of startups that Oracle wants to support, considering them agents of change that inspire and help other companies to evolve and grow, innovating to solve problems that sometimes did not even exist before.
So, Oracle for Startups was created for this reason, an exclusive programme for startups in any field that aims to create partnerships that generate mutual benefit, connecting our customers with startups and interesting projects on the one hand, and startups themselves with great business opportunities on the other. In this way, by offering access to our cloud technology and facilitating this connection between customers and disruptive startups, the result is the generation of real innovation based on the security and scalability of the Oracle cloud.
The differential value of Oracle for Startups lies in Market Connect. When the startup is ready to grow its business, Oracle offers to connect it with product management teams, with experts dedicated to marketing, events and media, and to access our global customer base. In this way, each startup has an expert advisor to help them target their value proposition, better leverage technology and connect with a portfolio of more than 430,000 Oracle customers worldwide.
