  • The initiative, launched by the Regional Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment of the Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian Regional Government) and the Málaga TechPark Execs Executives Club, started last week with two training courses on Cybersecurity and Cloud.

The “EspecializaTech” initiative, launched by the Regional Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment of the Junta de Andalucía and the Málaga TechPark Execs Executives Club, started last 12 June in Málaga, aiming to meet the current demand for technology professionals, all by carrying out training projects that contribute to employability in the technology field in the province of Málaga.

This program is addressed to unemployed people and includes four training courses on Cloud, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, which 45 people will benefit from. The courses on Cybersecurity and Cloud started last week with the participation of Málaga TechPark’s companies, whose contribution was through inspirational talks, masterclasses and sessions with the students.

The courses took place in the Public Training Centre Remedios Rojo in Málaga.

The initiative

Málaga TechPark hosts more than 650 companies that employ around 25,000 professionals. Currently, there are more than 10,000 people in the park that work in the disruptive or digital technologies fields.

The business community of the park comes together in Málaga TechPark Execs, whose main objective is to strengthen the links between companies, as well as collaborate in the strategy and development of Málaga TechPark by creating different working groups that cooperate in sharing initiatives of strategic interest for the development of the park and the companies in it.

One of these working groups is called ‘Talent’, and it acts as a prospective observatory analysing the talent demand of companies. It also implements different actions to facilitate talent attraction, which is key to the growth of companies in the park.

This working group carried out an analysis study of the most in-demand professional profiles by the companies in Málaga Techpark, in order to jointly propose training projects that respond to this demand.

As a result of this study, the “EspecializaTech” project was designed thanks to the collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment.
