The European project DIBEST (Digital Innovation for Blue Enterprise and Social Tourism), in which Málaga TechPark participates alongside 16 European partners, including Promálaga, the University of Málaga, and Agan+, has officially launched its training program this morning. The initiative aims to support the digital transformation of micro-tourism businesses in coastal regions of Spain, Portugal, France, and Ireland.
This first module, which will run from January to early April 2025, marks the beginning of an ambitious project designed to prepare small businesses to face challenges and seize opportunities in an increasingly digitalized tourism sector.
The initial module focuses on providing essential foundations for micro-businesses to adapt to the digital environment. One of the primary areas of focus is digital innovation in tourism, exploring new ways to enhance tourism services and meet the demands of modern travelers.
Another key aspect is online presence and digital strategy. The program will teach businesses how to effectively position themselves online, design strategies to attract and retain customers, and increase their visibility in a global market.
The program will also include training in data analysis, an essential tool for understanding customer behavior, identifying market trends, and making strategic decisions to drive business growth.
The program’s approach combines various learning methods to meet participants’ needs. Sessions will be held every two weeks and will feature a mix of pre-recorded classes, live sessions, and practical activities, enabling businesses to immediately apply the knowledge gained.
Participants will also benefit from personalized mentoring, providing additional support tailored to their business realities. Additionally, they will gain access to a Digital Kit, which will serve as a repository of key resources to continue their development beyond the program.
This first module also aims to foster the exchange of experiences and knowledge among participating micro-businesses, promoting a collaborative network across companies from different European countries.
With the launch of this initial module, the DIBEST program establishes itself as a transformative initiative that not only benefits participating micro-businesses but also strengthens the tourism ecosystem in European coastal regions.
As the training process progresses, businesses are expected to implement effective digital strategies, enhancing their competitiveness and contributing to the sustainable development of their local communities.
