With this new contract in place, AERTEC reinforced its activity in the Middle East, where it had already opened a division in 2019. There, they oversee the projects from countries like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, among other countries
AERTEC, the international company specialized in the aerospace industry, with its headquarters located in Malaga TechPark, has a new contract with the International Airport of Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to implement A-CDM (Airport Collaborative Decision Making), to improve the management of activities and operations in real-time, optimizing the coordination and efficiency in each of the processes.
A-CDM is an joint initiative overseen by Eurocontrol, ACIO-Europe (Airports Council International), CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organization) and IATA (International Air Transport Association), which is being implemented in the main airports around the world, specially in the past 5 years to improve the efficiency of the airport’s operations. AERTEC, seen in the global airport industry as one of the leading aerospatial engineering companies, has been chosen by the International Airport of Sharjah to kick-off the first phase of this programme, developing this in the main airports of the Middle East. The Spanish International Company is analyzing in these first weeks of work how they manage the operations and incidents in the airport.
This project adds to the knowledge and experience AERTEC has in the A-CDM programs, and the optimisation of airport operations, thanks to the development of innovation and new technologies, in the path to a more efficient and secure management through technological solutions.
AERTEC grows with aerospace projects in the Middle East
“The project at the International Airport of Sharjah deepens AERTEC positioning in the area, where our activity in airport design and consultancy keeps growing” explains Yousef Al Jaouni, Director of Operations and Area Manager for Business Development of AERTEC in the Middle East. “In fact, during the pandemic, our workload was the same, and we even grew with this type of service and because of the trust clients give us, which is translating into a bigger number of projects and the growth of our Middle East offices” adds Yousef Al Jaouni.
The international company has since 2019 a special commercial office in the UAE, where they manage projects, specially in the airport industry, in countries like Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.
From this office AERTEC also manages other market opportunities to grow their ratio of actions in sectors like defense, with important growth in the Middle East.
