Iñaki Ulizar, Head of the Engineering and Technology Unit at ‘Indra Transporte & Defensa’, presents the main projects and initiatives in space and defense that are being developed in the Málaga TechPark center.
The companies of the Málaga TechPark Aerospace Systems Cluster visited Indra’s offices in the park this Tuesday, January 19, to learn about the main projects and initiatives in space and defense that the company develops in this center.
Since the beginning of 2004, Indra has been present in the Malaga technopolis. This is where its Minsait Delivery Center is located, employing about 400 people, and from where technological developments are carried out for local, national and international clients. In addition, a team of 150 highly qualified professionals work specifically for Indra’s transport and defense projects.
The Málaga TechPark Aerospace Systems Cluster is made up of twenty companies with around 500 professionals working for the aerospace industry. This group of companies is consolidated as one of the main clusters in the park, and is committed to the so-called “new space”, with projects around innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, cybersecurity or technologies for satellites.
The companies that currently form the cluster are: Accenture, Aertec Solutions, Byevolution, Atyges, Clue Technologies, Cordis, CGI, DEKRA, DHV Technology, Fujitsu Ten, Indra, Ingenia, Mades, MLabs, Premo, Promalaga, TUPL and Viewnext.
The University of Malaga also participates in the Málaga TechPark Aerospace Systems Cluster. This entity is a member of the Spanish Aerospace Platform and provides the work of important research groups framed in R&D projects for the aerospace industry.
