The observatory Digital Eye organises the Spanish Digital Transformation Congress (CETDi) in the framework of Foro Transfiere

The Digital Eye observatory, set up by the University of Málaga and Málaga TechPark, is organising the Spanish Digital Transformation Congress (CETDi) on 15 and 16 February at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA). This event will take place within the framework of Foro Transfiere and will be attended by renowned experts in different areas related to digitalisation and innovation ecosystems in Spain.

The congress will kick off on the afternoon of 15 February with the inauguration, which will be led by the general director of Málaga TechPark, Felipe Romera; the vice-rector of Business, Territory and Digital Transformation of the UMA, Javier López; and the director of Digital Eye, Observatory of Digital Transformation, Óscar de Cózar.

The first talk, ‘Challenges and opportunities of digitalisation in Spain in 2023’, will be given by the director general of AMETIC, Francisco Hortigüela. Next, the CEO of Premo and vice-president of AMETIC, Ezequiel Navarro, will speak on ‘The Innovation Ecosystem in Málaga’. The CEO of AERTEC Soluciones and president of the Andalucía Aerospace cluster, Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, will continue with ‘The Aerospace sector, challenges, future and opportunities’.

This will be followed by a round table discussion, ‘Aid for Digital Transformation at National and Regional level’, moderated by the general director of Málaga TechPark, Felipe Romera; and which will include interventions by the president of the National Smart City Cluster, Vito Epíscopo; the coordinator of Design and Strategies for the province of Málaga in Andalucía Emprende, Andalusian Public Foundation, Alberto Azevedo; the head of the Kit Digital programme and director of Economía Digital en Red. es, Luis Prieto; and the president of Málaga Digital and director of Aticco Software, Ricardo Nandwani.

Second day

The second day of the Congress will begin with the intervention of Eugenio Mallol, journalist and advisor at Atlas Tecnológico, as well as an analyst of Cátedra Ciencia y Sociedad at Fundación Rafael del Pino, with the speech ‘Claves para resetear la economía y la sociedad’ (Keys to reset the economy and society).

Afterwards, the round table ‘The role of cybersecurity in the digital transition’, moderated by the editor of the magazine SIC, Luis Fernández, will feature the Cyber Security Manager and Responsible of the Capgemini Málaga Cyber Security Center, Jesús Muñoz; the Security Engineer at Google, Gerardo Fernández; the manager of Technological Services of the Digital Agency of Andalusia, Enrique Rando; and the vice-rector of Business, Territory and Digital Transformation of the UMA, Javier López.

After a short break, it will be the turn of ‘Digital Transformation Success Stories’. Here, Ericsson’s head of Network Design & Optimization Innovation at Business Area Cloud and Software Services, Juan Ramiro, will present the first case: ‘Optimising mobile networks through AI and digital twins: The case of a leading global operator.’

The second case, ‘Tacs4 One: How to capitalise on a competitive advantage by generating new business models’, will be given by Alejandro Torrecilla, Managing Director of DEKRA Testing and Certification, SAU.

Ángel Navarro, Director of Transformation Opplus Group, will present the third case: ‘Transformation of E2E Operations Processes leveraged on a BPM.

Next, Isaac Agudo, CEO of Decentralized Security and researcher at the NICS Lab group of the UMA, will give a presentation on the ‘Impact of Blockchain technologies on Digital Transformation.’ In addition, Víctor Manuel Solla, Director General of Innovation and Urban Digitalisation of Málaga City Council will speak on ‘Digital Transformation in Málaga City Council.’

The congress will close with the talk ‘Artificial Intelligence: Momentum, challenges and future,’ with the head of Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centre, Toni de la Prieta.

About Digital Eye

The Digital Eye Observatory, launched jointly by Málaga TechPark and the University of Málaga through the Vice-Rectorate for Business, Territory and Digital Transformation, aims to help companies, organisations and institutions in the field of digital transformation. In this context, Digital Eye was created to integrate and concentrate efforts in this area, as well as carry out functions of dissemination, promotion, training, advice and technological innovation in this area, leading to better strategic positioning and decision-making by companies and institutions with implications in the sector.
