Málaga TechPark hosted yesterday a new edition of the TauRun, the race against cancer organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Málaga and Málaga TechPark, in which 750 people participated. In addition, the race was sponsored by several companies of the park: Opplus, as Platinum sponsor; Anovo, Ey Global and Iris Global, as Gold sponsors; Keysight Technologies, Cardivais, Dekra, TDK, Dedalus and Denso Ten as Silver sponsors; and Aertec, Laude, Metadata and Idneo as Bronze sponsors. The creative consulting company INNN has also joined as a collaborator designing the T-shirt of the event.
Thus, the park also joined the sponsorships and its employees took part in the race.
In the women’s category, the winner was Beatriz Jiménez Tomé, followed by Marisa Montiel Mancha and Rocío Pérez Romero. Regarding the men’s category, the winner was Francisco Javier Gómez Fernández, followed by Salvador Díaz Burgos and Francisco Jesús Gallego Serrano.
The TauRun awards were presented by the provincial manager of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Málaga, Carmen Litrán; and the CEO of Málaga TechPark, Felipe Romera.
During the race, there were also available other kinds of activities, such as bouncy castles and a zumba class.
All the funds raised with the registration fees for the TauRun are used to maintain the programs and services that the association offers free of charge to cancer patients and their families, such as psychological care, social workers’ services, physiotherapy services and the residential apartments that are available to cancer patients who come to Málaga for treatment.
