The aim is to provide students of the University of Málaga with “Oracle University” and “Oracle Academy” courses, regardless of their degree discipline, to facilitate their employability
The University of Málaga and Oracle Ibérica (based in Málaga TechPark) presented today a collaboration agreement to offer official courses of “Oracle University” and “Oracle Academy” to undergraduate and postgraduate students, in order to facilitate their employability.
The agreement was signed by José Ángel Narváez, rector of the University of Málaga, and by Albert Triola, country manager of Oracle Spain and representative of Oracle Ibérica. This agreement is a framework of collaboration between both entities to train and supply the labour market with qualified and officially certified professionals in Oracle products.
Narváez expressed his gratitude to the company for “believing and trusting a public university” and for “increasing the employment possibilities of our students”. “This University is committed to the employability and entrepreneurship of our students and, thanks to Oracle’s collaboration, we now have the chance to boost their practical training and therefore, to integrate them into the world of work”, he explained.
Albert Triola, the country manager of Oracle, pointed out that this agreement helps the students to “finish their studies with the best training to adapt to new technologies such as the artificial intelligence, which nowadays is found in any company of any size and sector”, said Triola. “It is a transversal action addressed to all areas of knowledge, as everyone is going to need technology when looking for a job.”
After the signing of the agreement, Oracle will provide the University of Málaga with a complete training program for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with access to top-quality training material and certifications under special conditions.
The aforementioned program will give access of “Oracle University” and “Oracle Academy” courses to the whole academic community of the University of Málaga. Furthermore, the training will be accompanied by professional guidance, with the participation of Oracle consultants and the programming of master classes.
