UMA Racing Team stood out with its presence at the IX edition of the FANTEC, that took place in Torremolinos on Friday 17th, where their motorbikes were exhibited and they resolved all kind of doubts to the students who went there. Moreover, they also offered a talk inside the Palacio de Congresos of Torremolinos.

The UMA Racing Team participation in the FANTEC was an absolutely achievement. The team’ stand was on display outside the Palacio de Congresos to show the two models of electric racing motorbikes they have built (the 2021 and 2023) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors had the opportunity to get close to them, observe the motorbikes closely and ask questions not only about the technical side of the motorbikes and the MotoStudent competition, but also about the human team that is part of the university team and how to be part of it.

The UMA Racing Team offered a talk in “El Bajondillo” room inside the Congress, of public access and aimed at technology and motorcycling enthusiasts at 12 p.m. During the presentation, key ideas such as the process of creation, design, assembly of the motorbike; the technical specifications; the requirements to join the team; the working methodology; the areas of specialisation and how the MotoStudent competition works were explained.

At the end of the talk, a Kahoot competition was organised so as to add a touch of fun and competition to the event, as well as to test the knowledge acquired by the audience. As prizes, the three best players received team merchandising items: a T-shirt, a cap and a mobile phone strap respectively.

The organisers would like to thank all the participants and collaborators who made this event possible. The presence of the UMA Racing Team in the FANTEC not only has served to promote their progress and to gain visibility, but also to strengthen the bond with the community and the amateurs. The team once again proved its commitment to innovation and passion for the motor’s world. We are sure that, in events like these, the passion for motorbikes and engineering increases among the public.
